Catch here updates and live streaming online of Papal Visit PH 2015. Pope Francis is scheduled to lead concluding mass at the Quirino Grandstand in Luneta, Manila.
As of Sunday afternoon, hundreds of thousands of devout Catholics thronged the Luneta Park, also called Rizal Park, to join the concluding mass as the country seeks to carve out a more peaceful future.
Many had waited through the night to see the first pope to visit the country in two decades. The last papal visit in the Philippines was in 1995.
As seen in several media reports, many are wearing transparent raincoats to shield themselves from the light to heavy rains as they wait for the mass to start at 3:30 p.m, Sunday, January 18, 2015.
Sunday’s mass on the grandstand of the Rizal Park will be a colourful mix of the country’s diverse cultures, with hymns to be sung in different languages as well as the song sung in 1995 papal visit.
Leading telco companies are offering livestream viewing sites for the public in select areas during the five-day visit of Pope Francis in the country.
The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) is one of them offering live stream viewing of the Pope’s activities. These sites are available in parishes and PLDT Sales and Service Centers (SSCs) in and outside Metro Manila.
