Liberal Party vice-presidential bet Leni Robredo must have run a great campaign considering the tremendous numbers she put up in Mindanao. Over in Lamitan City, Basilan, she was lucky enough to get 100% of the vote in a clustered precinct at Bohenange Elementary School.
Sunstar Manila reported that Robredo obtained 595 votes while all of her contenders got zero vote.
In Basilan, she earned as much as 80% of the vote in some of the municipalities. For example, in Sumisip, Cong. Robredo won most of the precincts to Marcos. And in case you’re wondering, Robredo received 81.35% of the vote.
She did even better with an astounding 94.56% of the vote in Tuburan, Basilan.
Sen. Bongbong Marcos, on the other hand, won other municipalities like Hadji Muhtamad. At least Marcos got 33.25% of the vote, followed by Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano with 32.45% of the vote.
The news about Leni Robredo earning 100% of the vote in a clustered precinct came after serious charges of tampering with the vice presidential votes were aired by the Marcos camp yesterday, per The Daily Tribune, with one of the lawyers of Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos saying that a new script, or the computer command, had been introduced to the transparency server.
But a veteran election lawyer sees nothing wrong if vice presidential candidate Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo garnered 100-percent of votes in a clustered precinct. Of the same precinct, presidential bet Mar Roxas even got same number of votes, 595, while Rodrigo Duterte got only 2 votes. Other presidential candidates got zero vote.
“There is really a 100-percent voting [for any candidate, like Robredo] in some areas. That happens in the past elections,” lawyer Romulo Macalintal, counsel of Robredo, told reporters on Thursday at the Philippines International Convention Center in Pasay City.
