Davao City mayor Rodrigo Duterte should take a big gulp — 7-Eleven shoppers have already decided on PDP-Laban presidential bet Rodrigo Duterte.
The 7-Election presidential GULP poll, which allows soda drinkers to pick a blue cup for Rodrigo Duterte, sky blue for Grace Poe, red for Miriam Santiago, orange for Jejomar Binay or a yellow one for Mar Roxas, Duterte is leading with 57 percent of “votes,” as of April 12.
Fifteen percent remain undecided — meaning they bought the regular cups. Coming in at a far second is Poe, who currently has 10 percent while Santiago and Binay has each 7 percent. Roxas places last with 4 percent.
As a policy, 7-Eleven temporarily pulls out all cups to halt the voting process once any of the presidential candidates’ cups get sold out.
Dubbed as the #7Elections, the event is aimed to provide a fun and hassle-free way of voting in surveys especially with 7-Eleven stores literally just around every corner.
Though the poll calls itself “unabashedly unscientific,” it has never been wrong in its United States three-election history. It ‘predicted’ the victories of George W. Bush in 2004, Barack Obama in 2008, and again Barack Obama in 2012.
In 2010, the poll correctly predicted that Benigno Aquino III would win the election.
