SMC President Ramon Ang’s son Jomar Ang dies at 26

Jomar Ang, son of San Miguel Corporation President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon Ang, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020.

Ramon and his wife Tessie released an official statement on his death through a mobile message.

The message reads:

“It has been a painful experience, but we have been comforted by the expressions of love and sympathy sent to us in many ways.”

They also added, “We appreciate all the kind thoughts and prayers. Thank you for being with us during this difficult time.”

Back in January, the 26-year-old Jomar Ang was said to be admitted to the St. Luke’s Medical Center for being in a “critical condition.”

The family, however, did not disclose specific details.

In a previous report by GMA News Online, Ramon Ang instead appealed to the public not to spread false news about his son.

Who is Jomar Ang

“Jomar was a dutiful, loving, and kind-hearted son, brother, and a loyal and dedicated friend to many. He was a source of great joy to us and we are truly blessed to have had his love and presence in our lives. We know in our hearts that he is in a much better place now,” the family comforts.

Jomar Ang is a car enthusiast and collector. He is the Chief Finance Officer of RSA Motors, a car dealership business. RSA Motors has previously donated support to coronavirus frontliners.

In addition, reported that “Jomar used to join karting competitions with brother Jacob, who in 2017 won the overall crowns in the Formula 125 Sr Open and the x30 SR classes of the Asian Karting Championship in Macau.”

They held a private service last April 12, Sunday, to celebrate his life.

“While we know that many of you who kept him in your thoughts would have wanted to attend his funeral, we decided it was best to have a private service to celebrate his life on Easter Sunday,” Ramon and Tessie explained.

San Miguel Corporation is one of the big conglomerates in the country.
