Plane crashes in Pansol, Laguna


A private plane has crashed at Miramonte Village in Brgy. Pansol, Calamba, Laguna, Sunday afternoon, causing a fire to break out in the area.

City Mayor Justin Chipeco confirmed to the Inquirer that a small plane crashed around 3:30 p.m.

Per CNN Philippines, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines told CNN Philippines that a medical evacuation plane with registration number RP-C2296 lost radar contact with the Manila Control Tower while on its way back to Manila from Dipolog City.

Jeffrey Rodriguez, head of the city Public Order and Safety Office, said the plane crashed in Miramonte subdivision, a popular location of private resorts.

He said that they have secured the area with help of the Bureau of Fire is here but they don’t have information yet in the passengers of the plane.
