Details of his death, as well as of his interment, are yet to be released. His death was confirmed by the office of Aurora Tan, Manila Bulletin’s vice president of the executive department. Don Emilio Yap died at 12:05 p.m.
Listed by Forbes as the 13th richest Filipino in 2010 with a net worth of USD665 million, Yap also owned 55 percent of Centro Escolar University.
