FULL RESULTS_September 2019 Medical Technologist (MedTech) Board Exam Passers

The full results including the list of passers of the September 2019 Medical Technologist (MedTech) Board Exam are officially released online on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, or in three (3) working days after the last day of the licensure examination. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Medical Technology conducted the medical technologist licensure examination (MTLE) in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, and Tuguegarao on September 21-22, 2019.

The members of the Board of Medical Technology who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Marilyn A. Cabal-Barza, Chairman; Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco, Members.

RESULTS: September 2019 Medical Technologist Board Exam Out

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Wednesday, Sept. 25, announced that 4,743 out of 6,453 passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medical Technology in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena and Tuguegarao this September 2019

The members of the Board of Medical Technology who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Marilyn A. Cabal-Barza, Chairman; Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco, Members.

The results were released in three (3) working days from the last day of examination.

From October 25 to November 14, 2019, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line.  Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.  Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope.  Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Those who failed to pass the board examination for Medical Technology but had obtained a general rating of at least 70% can register as Medical Laboratory Technician.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

Release Date of September 2019 MedTech Board Exam Results

Per MTLE schedule and updates, the release date of September 2019 MedTech Board Exam results is September 25, 2019 (Wednesday) or in three (4) working days after the last day of said medical technologist licensure examination (MTLE).

Registration of Passers

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

  • duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • current Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
  • 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 short brown envelope with name and profession

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Oathtaking of Passers

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examinations WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

Physician board exam verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online. Visit PRC’s “Verification of Rating” service and enter the required information to verify your identity. Note that this can be available in few days after the exam.

33 ranked Best Medical Schools in the Philippines for 2018

The ranking of the best medical technology schools in the Philippines for 2018 has been released, which currently featured only 33 out of 148 colleges and universities offering undergraduate programs in medical technology or medical laboratory science.

Saint Louis University in Baguio City still ranked first in the country for medical technology with 93.28% overall score based on overall board exam performance (70%), accreditation (20%), and faculty-student ratio (10%). The school is an accredited Center of Development (COD) in medical technology by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). (READ: 38 ranked Best Medical Technology Schools in PH for 2014-2018)

The rankings are based on the results of two medical technologists licensure examinations last year plus other factors including level of accreditation and faculty-student ratio to find out which medical technology schools have the most valuable programs to produce a batch of examinees with high passing rates.

Top Performing Medical Technology Schools in the Philippines for 2018

A total of 38 colleges and universities, 36 private and 2 public schools, were among the top performing medical technology schools out of 149 in the 2018 aggregate data of medical technologist licensure examinations with 50 examinees or more, and above the national passing rate of 75.83 percent.

The Adventist University of the PhilippinesCagayan State University-Andrews CampusCebu Doctors’ University, and Velez College shared the No. 1 spot as the top-performing school in medical technologist licensure examinations for 2018 with a 100 percent weighted passing rate from its 859053, and 185 examinees, respectively.

March 2019 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 2,801 out of 4,092 passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medical Technology in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga in March 2019

The members of the Board of Medical Technology who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Marilyn A. Cabal-Barza, Chairman; Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco, Members.

The results were released in three (3) working days from the last day of examination.

Two universities garnered a 100-percent passing rate in the March 2019 Medical Technologist (MedTech) Licensure Exam, results from PRC revealed. Cagayan State University, with 127 examinees, and the Adventist University of the Philippines, with 72 examinees, emerged as the top performing schools with a 100-percent passing rate.

Velez College, University of San Agustin, Trinity University of Asia, Saint Louis University, and Cebu Doctors’ University shared the No. 1 spot in the list of the top performing schools in the September 2018 Medical technologist Licensure Examination (MTLE).

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 2,648 out of 3,644 passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medical Technology in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga in March 2018.

The members of the Board of Medical Technology who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Marilyn A. Cabal-Barza, Chairman; Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco, Members.

The results were released in three (3) working days from the last day of examination.
