The October 2017 CPA board exam results including the list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools are expected to be released online.

This year’s October 2017 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure examation has seen more or less than 15,000 examinees who participated the two-weekend exams.

According to the PRC Resolution No. 2016-1019, the target release date of the recent CPA board exam results is on Wednesday, October 25 or in 8 working days after the exam. But due to the earlier announcements from Malacañang Palace that suspended classes in all levels and government work on Monday (October 16) and Tuesday (October 17), the results may be released on a later date, probably on Friday, October 27.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 4,511 out of 14,816 passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi Lucena, Tacloban and Tuguegarao last October 2017. The results of examination with respect to three (3) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.

The Board of Accountancy is composed of Joel L. Tan-Torres, Chairman; Eliseo A. Aurellado (inhibited), Gerard B. Sanvictores, Gloria T. Baysa, Concordio S. Quisaot, Samuel B. Padilla and Arlyn S. Villanueva, Members.

From November 9 to November 21, 2017, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

But based on the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy announcement in its Facebook page, the results are expected to be released on October 20 or October 21.

In the last two weekends, thousands of CPA hopefuls trooped to exam centers nationwide to take the October 2017 round of the CPA Licensure Exam. The exam was administered by the Board of Accountancy on October 7, 8, 14, and 15 this year in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Tacloban and Tuguegarao.

In recent years, the passing rate during the October CPA exams is around 36-40%. Interestingly, this is down from the high 47-48% passing rate during the October 2010, 2011, and 2012 exams.

During the May CPA exams, the passing rate does not follow a solid trend. It ranges from 20% to 40% in the last seven years.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

Visit PRC’s “Verification of Rating” service and enter the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.
