The results of Philippine National Police Academy Cadet Admission Test 2014 (PNPACAT 2014) including the complete list of passers, can be viewed here officially released by the Philippine National Police Academy in its official website.
Only a small percentage of the total number of examinees passed the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Cadet Admission Test as its recruitment and selection standards were increased starting last year.
Only 1,449 qualified applicants who took the three-hour examinations last October 26, 2014 made it on the list of passers.
Reports said almost 20,000 took the exam last October 26, 2014 in 27 different testing centers nationwide.
The PNPA since last year has elevated its standards, adopting a competency-based predetermined passing score of 60 percent, and with no score below 50 percent in each part of the 200-items long examinations covering English and Communications, Mathematics and Science, Abstract and Logical Reasoning and General Information and Current Events.
The 1,449 passers will be joined by a number of others who were granted the privilege to be exempted from taking the cadet admission test for being high school valedictorians and salutatorians, or college cum laude graduates.
The congratulatory notices will be sent to the successful CAT examinees as well as notices to the qualified honor student graduates.
The Philippine National Police Academy informs the passers to please wait for further announcement on the schedule of Psychological and Psychiatric Examination (PPE) and other requirements for submission.
