The Miss Universe 2015 pageant will reportedly be held in China in the city of Shanghai, Paulina Vega revealed in a report of El Nuevo Día, the newspaper with the highest circulation in Puerto Rico reaching a readership of 1.2 million people with over 200,000 daily copies.
The newly crowned Miss Universe reportedly confirmed Friday, February 6 that she was told by Donald Trump that she will crown her successor in China.
She also revealed that she will have a short reign as the next edition of the Miss Universe is going to happen in 10 months. This implies that the 64th Miss Universe will take place this year and not in 2016.
“Mr. Trump said me the next edition will be held in China. I’m going to be been charmed with of crowning my succesor in China,” the 22-year-old Paulina Vega said in an interview with El Nuevo Día.
Officials from the Miss Universe Organization have reportedly no say yet about the host country and date of the pageant but based on the statements of Miss Universe 2014 reigning queen Paulina, the next Miss Universe pageant will probably happen in December 2015.
Close to 90 countries are expected to participate in the pageant.
