Local governments in parts of Luzon have suspended classes on September 29, 2016, due to effects of heavy rains brought by Southwestern Monsoon or “Habagat.”
Mayor Atty. Henry Villarica declared suspension of classes in all levels in both public and private schoolsh in Meycauayan, Bulacan tomorrow, September 29, 2016 (Thursday) due to remaining flood in low lying areas and schools utilized as evacuation centers.
Classes have been also suspended in the following areas/towns:
- Bocaue, Bulacan
- Marilao, Bulacan
- Olongapo City, Zambales – starts at at 1 pm
In its 7 p.m. update on Wednesday, September 29, state weather bureau PAGASA issued yellow heavy rainfall warning over Metro Manila, Bataan, Cavite, and Bulacan.
Meanwhile, Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains affecting Zambales, Pampanga , Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, Bulacan, Tarlac and NuevaEcija which may persist for 2-3 hours.
