Top Performing Civil Engineering Schools in the Philippines for 2018

A total of 11 colleges and universities, 5 private and 6 public schools, are among the top performing civil engineering schools out of 295 in the 2018 aggregate data of civil engineer licensure examinations with at least 50 examinees and with at least 70% weighted passing rate. The University of the Philippines-Los Baños earned the No. 1 spot as top performing school in civil engineer licensure examinations for 2018 with a 98 percent weighted passing rate or 98 successful examinees out of 100.

A total of 9,000 out of 21,481 examinees passed the civil engineer licensure examinations in the laster year’s May and November schedules. The weighted national passing rate for the same period was 41.90 percent.

Firs-time examinees accounted for 12,851 with a total of 7,004 successful examinees or 54.50 percent passing rate of the same group or 32.61 percent of the total examinees.

Of the 8,630 repeaters, only 1,996 successfully passed the licensure examination in 2018 or 23.13% among the repeaters or 9.29% among the total examinees.

Carlos A. Hilado Memorial State College-Talisay in Talisay City, Negros Occidental placed second with a 96.37 percent weighted passing rate from its 53 successful examinees out of 55.

The University of the Philippines-Diliman came in third place with a 90.91 percent from its 130 passers out of 143 examinees.

De La Salle University-Manila was fourth with an 84.18 percent weighted passing rate from its 133 successful examinees out of 158.

Bohol Island State University-Tagbilaran earned the fifth place with an 81.61 percent weighted passing rate from its 71 successful examinees out of 87.

The University of Pangasinan in Dagupan City placed sixth with a 79.45 percent weighted passing rate from its 58 successful examinees out 73.

The University of Santo Tomas in Manila earned the seventh spot with a 78.36 percent weighted passing rate from its 192 successful examinees out of 245.

Completing the top 10 performing civil engineering schools are the De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (73.61% with 53 passers out of 72 examinees), Isabel State University-Ilagan (72.53% with 66 passers out of 91 examinees), and Camarines Norte State College-Daet (71.43% with 45 passers out of 63 examinees).
