Some schools have suspended classes on January 27, 2020, Monday, due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Although there are still no confirmed cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in humans in the Philippines, some schools have decided to adopt preventive measures because of the current public health concerns regarding the spread of the disease.
As there are those who have traveled or whose family members have traveled to places where cases of the coronavirus infection have been confirmed (China, Macau, HK, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, USA, Australia, France, Nepal, Japan, South Korea, Canada, etc.) and to areas where numerous visitors from Wuhan were reported (Boracay, Aklan, etc.) school officials have requested to inform them about their trips and go on self-quarantine for two weeks after the date of arrival (without negative effects to their grades or class standing).
Here is the list of schools where class have been cancelled due to the 2019 novel coronavirus:
