Pregnant Woman Loses Baby, 15K to Hypnotists

Taking a page from the unusual, a 34-year old woman, heavily pregnant with her soon-to-be firstborn child lost her baby and money amounting to Php 15,000. Originally from Bansud, Oriental Mindoro, the victim was found several hundred kilometers away in Calamba, Laguna, two days after she was reported missing by the local police authorities. When she got located by her relatives, Connie Mortel Diaz could not remember what happened during the eventful day when she inexplicably got lost as she was on her way home from the market.

Relatives got concerned after Connie did not arrive home after several hours of travel from Bansud Market. She went to Bansud with her father but asked to be left behind because she still had things to buy. She was able to reply to the chat of her husband Ronald “Cano” Diaz around 11:22 am, October 12. Witnesses say that she rode in a multicab plying the route and alighted in Brgy. Sumagui accompanied by two women. Various accounts also said that prior to the victim being sighted alighting in Brgy. Sumagui, she was seen at Villa looking at food from carenderias but not buying. Other witnesses point out that she was also seen crossing the river with the two women.

Concerned relatives went to the local police who couldn’t do anything until the prerequisite 24-hour period has lapsed. They also tried to look for her in and around hospitals in Oriental Mindoro but didn’t find her. Relatives also took it to themselves to post announcements and pleas for help over Facebook so that they can get help from concerned citizens to locate Connie immediately.

Relatives also tried to track her location via her Facebook account but they couldn’t do it since her location was disabled. They also coordinated with GMA News and had her image and contact numbers flashed during their live news telecast. Luckily their efforts met with positive results as an outpouring of support came in that helped to locate Connie in Brgy. Parian, Calamba City, Laguna.

Reports say that Connie got hypnotized by the two women she was seen in company with. Furthermore, when she came back to her senses, Connie discovered that she is no longer with her child, who was supposed to be her first born with her husband Ronald. Additionally, her money was nowhere to be found. As a result, Connie is undergoing therapy to help her deal with the harrowing ordeal that she has underwent.

Relatives were still thankful that she was located alive given the circumstances.
