A graduate of the Far Eastern University in Manila has topped the licensure examination for medical technologist given by the Board of Medical Technology of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last month.
In a report, the PRC said Vanessa Leslie Rivera garnered 91.20 percent rating, besting 3,216 examinees.
Graduates from Saint Louis University (SLU) got the 5th, 7th, and 10th places.
They were David Marco Abaya Bildan, with 90.60 percent; Arnold Joseph Octaviano Geronimo, with 89.50 percent; Renz Michael Hart Velasco Bautista, 89.20 percent; and Julie Ann Alcantara De Guzman, 88.80 percent.
George Vincent Giray Gellena of the Remedios T. Romualdez Medical Foundation took 3rd place with 89.70 percent.
Jobet Romar Dela Cruz Gentallan of the Southwestern University got the 4th place with 89.60 passing rate.
Atima Jane Paulene Obera Gade of the Remedios T. Romualdez Medical Foundation shared 5th place with Arnold Joseph Octaviano Geronimo, both with 89.50 percent.
In 6th place was Christopher Kim Pugoy Soriño of the Universidad De Zamboanga (For. ZAEC) with 89.40 percent; followed by Rutchelle Joyce Feliciano Pugoy of Universidad De Zamboanga (For. ZAEC), 89.20; Irekevin Tura Aytona OF Our Lady Of Fatima University-QC, 89.10; Leonard Ray Cayetano Dizon of Centro Escolar University Manila, 89.00; and Glendon Keane Pedro Andam of University Of Baguio, 88.80.
A total of 3,216 medical technology graduates took the test but only 2,378 passed, the PRC said.
Members of the board who gave the licensure examinations were Dr. Marietta C. Baccay, Chairman; Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco, members.
Meanwhile, the Adventist University of the Philippines ranked first among the top performing schools in the medical licensure examination held in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Zamboanga last February 2017. The University got an institutional passing rate of 100. National passing rate was 73.94 (2,378 out of 3,216).
Saint Louis University and Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation also got a 100-percent passing rate with 292 and 59 examinees, respectively.
Far Eastern University and University of San Agustin are in the top 2 and top 3 slots, respectively.
